We are both thrilled and grateful to have been able to create our Exposition ”Art as a cure for a national trauma” and be hosted by Villa Ciani, Lugano from the 10 to 17 August.

Thanks to the support of our sponsors as well as Citta di Lugano’s and Centro Turistico di Lugano`s support, we were able to raise awareness regarding the ongoing situation in Ukraine through the perception and art production of Ukrainian nationals and raise funds to support Ukraine-based charity foundations we are collaborating with, more specifically, Trochy Vognju and Brave to Rebuild.

After a lively and successful opening ceremony, the week-long exposition offered both an intimate and strong feeling of what reality can feel like for citizens in war-torn Ukraine. Sharing locals’ lived experiences with the Swiss community was an important aim of the exposition.
